Orientation/Grounds Tour

I think I am pretty much going to be a day behind on these updates because I have been finding myself way too tired at the end of the night to comprehend anything. I am in the process of uploading all of my pictures to an album on Photobucket and I shall post a link when they are all current. Some pictures may get on facebook, but I make no promises.
Our “RA” and the “Catering Director”, both really cool guys who went on this program as students and now have come back to work here took us on a tour of the ground and we ran into some pretty neat things.

This is me before entering a little tunnel/cave on the grounds. I actually saw another one on the other side of this one and we do plan on going back to explore at a later date. Speaking of tunnels, we have as a group decided that we are going on “The True Mary King Close” or something like that. Basically we are going on a ghost tour through the underground city beneath Edinburgh. That one had my vote.

We semi planned the rest of the group activites today. We are going…are you ready? Ready to be supper jealous… I get to spend the night in the Harry Potter Castle. Yeah. Patty (who is awesome anyway) used to work there and still has friends there so :P. I won’t know when that is going to be until Monday most likely. Then from there Theresa and I are going onto Stone Henge for the rest of our weekend.

OH! So we have the epic building on our property. They originally built it to grow oranges. The roof was glass and they lit fires underneath it to keep it warm. Needless to say after a year it burnt down but the outlaying structure is still standing…I want to do something with this building, don’t you?

I could be mean and post a picture of the Grand Stairs, but I shall save them for tomorrow. I'll let you know where exactly I am going and when as soon as they are concrete. Theresa and I are going to be finishing and finalizing our list tonight.

Ashley
